Been living in a surreal no-man's land the last several weeks. Resignation and acceptance simultaneously leaves a soul a little bit discombobulated.
Is bittersweet, really. Less bitter, more sweet, for many reasons. As each day passes, my anticipation grows. It's a whole new world in job-land. I'm ready. No regrets.
Two more days to wind down and say goodbye to something I've been living and breathing for 17 years. Goodbye to 80-hour work weeks, to insane shift work hours, to sometimes difficult workplace relations, to the contentious union-management dance. Goodbye also to incredibly diverse projects and awesome results delivered, to varied activities and interesting events, to amazing training opportunities. Goodbye to the secure world of crown corporation employ.
Fair thee well, I sail away.
Hello to the new and untested and unknown. To the new opportunities and the growth, both of my abilities and learnings. Hello to new networks and connections, to new projects and deliverables, to new successes. Hello to exciting expansion and testing new ground, innovating new answers. Hello to the diverse and uncertain world of private industry employ.
When I change, I change wholesale.
It's all good.
Next chapter commences February 18th.
Looking forward to it...

Thanks, Charlie! Crossroads moments leave me reflective and wanting to express the internal landscapes somehow.
